This is a well-received first novel about a military coup in an unnamed country, told from the POV of the president's barber, chef, and portraitist. I suppose the three heads on the throne represent these characters.

i saw this in a store the other day and was pretty amazed. the red is metallic and debossed, the black is charcoally and matte. it is gorgeous.
