Pictures at an Exhibition
Similar to our last post, but also stunning. The frame is printed with some metallic effect. The novel concerns a Jewish gallery owner who is forced into hiding during WWII, and returns to Paris only to find his gallery empty - having been looted by Nazis.

This is Messr. Mendelsund as well, I think.
not that this is not a nice cover, but it is amazing what simple printing treatments add in terms of visual quality to a books cover. Things that are very simple and even trite can become elegant and sophisticated with a small use of spot UV and matte lam or foils and tint plates.
