Milan Bozic, Ervin Serrano, Keith Hayes: Sequels

Some new releases that aren't all sequels, but have all retained the same designer and look of the previous book.

That somnambulist guy looks wide awake. Love the type and ornamentation on that one.

The two last Benjamin Black covers are great. But because they retained the same treatment it makes you feel like you are reading the same book, in perhaps a different language. Almost like the designer was not happy with the first cover and wanted to try it agian with the second.

the type on those Benjamin Black novels is awesome, though. The versos are gorgeously typeset. I agree about the Somnabulist books - that ornamentation is really cool.

Up to now, I'd thought torn edges always looked a little cheesy, but Keith Hayes' Benjamin Black covers prove they can instead look awesome.

That's so interesting. I never would have thought that book covers do that. I could see how someone might think it's a sequel though. As a non book designer and a person who only learned to read recently at the age of 25 I like the idea of an author having a "type" when it comes to the design of different book covers. It's like their signature. Could hurt but could help.
